The Mackintosh House: the Dining Room.

Situated on the ground floor, this room was the first room that we discovered in the Mackintosh House. It's the only dark place in this enlightened house, so we can say that Mackintosh has created another of his famous contrasts. We also find the famous furniture which has made Mackintosh's success: first, the high-backed chair based on the Willow Tea Rooms design, the lamp of the House for an Art Lover, the fire-place... The atmosphere reminds us of the dining room of the House for an Art Lover. The wood and the rose are still present.

La salle à manger.
Située au rez-de-chaussée, cette pièce est la première que nous avons découverte dans la Mackintosh House. C'est le seul endroit sombre dans cette maison lumineuse, donc nous pouvons dire que Mackintosh a créé un autre de ses célèbres contrastes. Nous avons aussi retrouvé le célèbre mobilier qui a fait le succès de Mackintosh: premièrement, la chaise à "haut dossier" basée sur le modèle de celles des Willow Tea Rooms, la lampe de The House for an Art Lover, la cheminée... L'atmosphère nous rapelle celle de la salle à manger de The House for an Art Lover. Le bois et la rose sont toujours présents.
